St Nicholas, known as the Castle church, is one of the landmarks of the historic town of Warwick. It was built in 1785, replacing a decaying mediaeval church.
Thanks to a substantial grant from English Heritage and many other organisations, and local generosity, recent partial reconstruction of the spire and the four pinnacles has enabled the bells to be rung once again after three years of silence. During the repairs the old weather vane had to be replaced partly due to bullet holes found in the old one believed to be from VE day celebrations!
