St Michael, Whichford

Village centre
Whichford

This church dates from 12th century and has some interesting monuments including one which is close to the altar, dedicated to a Rector of Whichford, John Mertun, featuring his spectacles - thought to be the earliest depiction- carved into the side of the tomb in alabaster. You will need to look very carefully to find them!
