St Mary, Clifton upon Dunsmore
Lilbourne Road
Clifton upon Dunsmore
A poignant memorial window, by Charles Eamer Kempe, to a young Eton schoolboy, is just one of the treasures here. A human heart encased in a lead casket was found beneath the chancel during 1894 restoration work and is thought to date back to the time of the Crusades. The jury is out on whom it belongs to!
