All Saints, Chilvers Coton
Avenue Road
Chilvers Coton
CV11 4NJ
All Saints was badly damaged during WW2 and rebuilt with the help of prisoners of war interred at nearby Arbury Hall. Their skills can be seen to fabulous effect in the carved church furniture. There are close connections with George Eliot here. Eliot knew the church well and used it as a model for Shepperton Church featured in her novels.
