St Peter & St Clare, Fenny Compton

Church Street
Fenny Compton
CV47 2YE

Fenny Compton is a thriving village of around 800 people. The earliest parts of the building date back to c.1320. The church is dedicated to the apostle St Peter and, through its historical links to the Augustinian Canons of Kenilworth, to St Clare of Montefalco. Many of our church members are actively involved in different areas of church life and fellowship is enjoyed over coffee after most services. We always welcome new faces.

The church contains an attractive stained glass window in memory of Thomas Payne, an engineer who in the early 19th century built the embankment across the Glaslyn estuary at Porthmadog, along which the Festiniog Railway runs.
