St Peter ad Vincula, Ratley

High St
Ratley
OX15 6DS

A church with a traditional layout built of local stone with fine acoustics. This is the highest parish in Warwickshire, at 200m (660ft) above sea level.

A recent addition is the carved wooden font cover which is part of the Ratley Millennium sculpture trail. The trail is themed on the elements:

Earth - the obelisk at Hornton Quarry Workshops, Edgehill

Air - the weather vane on Ratley Village Hall, and the remains of Ratley Castle (“airily situated on its ridge”!)

Fire - the Lower Recreation Ground in Ratley, site of the annual bonfire, and the time-capsule buried in 2001 for future parishioners.

Water - the Goggs spring next to Ratley Church in which you can see the Millennial font cover showing all four monuments.
