St James, Alveston
Wellesbourne Road
Alveston
CV37 7QJ
This church was developed during the Victorian era, when the Old Church became too cramped for its growing and more prosperous, congregation. The church was further embellished in the early 20th century by Belgian refugees from the first world war, when the entire nave was decorated. Sadly these paintings fell into disrepair and had to be painted over.
