Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary, Studley
Church Lane
Castle Road
Studley
B80 7AD
A church set in a peaceful valley and remote from the newer, noisier town. The churchyard is a haven for wildlife and the church holds so many fascinating treasures. The intricately carved coffin lid close to the altar, rescued from the site of the old Priory, shows a cross entwined with flowers and is at least six centuries old. The steps to the old Rood Screen where the church musicians once sat can still be seen.
