The tower which is the oldest part of this church date from the 13th century. The majority of the building was constructed in the 14th century and was extensively restored under the supervision of Sir Giles Gilbert Scott in 1872.
The setting is beautifully tranquil, on the edge of the village with view over the fields. The churchyard has several listed memorials dating from the mid 17th century.
St Nicholas is part of the Draycote group, which comprises, Stretton on Dunsmore, Princethorpe, Bourton on Dusnmore and Birdingbury.
