Welcome to Divine Inspiration!
Divine Inspiration encourages churches and chapels to be regularly open for anyone – of any faith or none – for heritage, for education, for use by the wider community and for pure enjoyment of the peace and the power of place that our churches and churchyards offer.
Church spires and towers are everywhere we look – in our towns, cities and in our remotest rural communities - and are part of our everyday landscape and cultural heritage but they aren't always easy to access.
Life changing events have been played out in our churches over the centuries – births, marriages and deaths - and places of worship have provided a backdrop to our changing history and have played an important role in war, economics and politics, often holding the key to how our communities have been formed and grown.
So whether you are a ‘church crawler’ or someone who has never been inside a church before then this site is for you. All the churches featured here are in the Diocese of Coventry and are part of the Divine Inspiration ‘family’. As a visitor, for whatever reason, you can be assured of a warm welcome and an interesting experience. We hope you enjoy visiting us!
